FAQ
GENERAL
Q. Why have you set up this service, sharing your knowledge in this way?
A. Sharing our knowledge works for two good reasons:
1. We work with businesses around Australia that want to get commercial benefit from the Internet but continue to be confused by their options and their priorities. And confusion is the enemy of intelligent solutions.
When we share this allows client and service providers to work better together. And, it empowers Australia’s businesses to do more themselves or engage service providers with knowledge and understanding rather than blind faith.
2. The Internet is moving so quickly we can share all we know and tomorrow, because of our contacts, our ongoing education, our understanding, and our real-life cases with our clients we will be moving ahead once again.
Q. What do you mean when you use the term Internet Marketing?
A. Combining the two broad terms of “Internet” and “Marketing” we consider Internet Marketing to cover all elements of the discipline of Marketing that can be executed or expressed online.
As a guide we refer to the Six C’s of Marketing and address them all to varying degrees:
- Communications
- Customers
- Commodity (Product)
- Cost (Price)
- Channels
- Competition
Q. Who would get most value from these classes?
A. Our classes are designed to suit:
- Small and medium sized business owners and managers that want to leverage the Internet and know they’re just scratching the surface right now.
- Marketing and General Management in medium to large sized organisations that understand they need further knowledge to properly manage in this area.
- Young marketers looking to advance their capabilities in this growing area.
- Mainstream advertising and PR agencies that recognise they have more to learn.
Q. So how much of your knowledge do you really share?
A. As much as we can in a full and energetic four hours. It is a VERY broad topic and we don’t pretend you will come away knowing all there is to know. But, a structured approach to the classes, a clear, instructive, interactive method, and helpful handouts take us all a long way in a short time.
TOPICS COVERED AND TIME ALLOCATED.
Q. How did you choose the topics and allocate the time?
A. Having worked and served in the business of Internet Marketing for over 10 years we have a good understanding:
- about what is really important, and also
- what is most confusing or troubling for business owners and managers.
Q. How simple or complex is the information?
A. We have allocated the available time to bring the greatest value to the broadest group of people by breaking the information into three segments:
1. Basic information. Approximately 20% of our time is taken making sure everybody in the room has a similar foundation of understanding.
2. Intermediate information. We spend most of our time (70%) at a level we consider intermediate. This information will add the greatest value as it will help all parties move forward and each participant will be able to pick the information most important to them.
3. Advanced information. 10% of our time is spent at an advanced level. At this level we do not attempt to provide answers – this requires a session all of it’s own (the Boot Camp) . Rather, we help you understand the issues and questions you should be thinking about and asking service providers as you move forward.
Q. How do you address the topic of website optimisation?
A. We have developed a simple approach to website optimisation we call ‘The Four Cs of Website Optimisation’.
1. Credibility
2. Clarity
3. Currency
4. Competition.
We take you through the Four Cs explaining why each is important in it’s own right and how they work together to provide a comprehensive optimisation solution.
And by the way, a recent international poll highlighted our very own Lucio Ribeiro as a ‘favorite SEO expert worldwide! You’re in good hands :-)
